Everyday

Beware of the rising tide of mediocrity.

Everyone has the right to speak, but you must earn the right to be heard.

  1. How very wise! You are the coolest, Bob. What you wrote reminds me of that saying "Think before you speak". I definitely do not want to be just mediocore. Thanks for the words of wisdom!

  2. As parents we need to teach our children that mediocrity is not acceptable. Unfortunately, a lot of parents are not instilling values in their children thus we have the rising problem of mediocrity in our society. Civility is also on a decline and it is disturbing what our society feels is tolerant. As adults we are forming our children for the future; therefore, you would hope that parents care enough what the future will be for their children that they teach that they must strive to do their best in all that they do.

  3. My father shared both of those quotes with me many times in my life...My favorite however, is missing from the list "Funny thing about luck, The harder you work the luckier you get."
I always believed that it was my father who made up this quote. Come to find out it was Thomas Jefferson.
